Fred's
FAQ
Why Buy An Extra Fred's M14 Stock?
Authenticity! - its the only correct stock for an M14 semi-auto rifle. It is built to government specs.
History! - Our stocks come directly from Uncle Sam. They have been on rifles from Berlin (one of the shipping containers is return labeled "Transportation Officer, Berlin, Germany") to Korea - to Vietnam. Some show appropriate use - others, although over 35 years old, are "like new".
Value! - You can buy these stocks now for a fraction of what the buttplates alone cost just a few years back - and for what they will be going for in the future. Remember when M1 Garand wood was cheap?
Appearance! - There is no better appearing stock than the one originally made by the US - and the variety is stunning - black, brown, tan, mahogany, orange, yellow, and red - plus lightweight, standard, heavyweight, and super heavyweight profiles - all US military standard issue. The synthetic can be easily repainted into snow, woodland, desert or other camo patterns by the average Joe.
Usefulness! - Complete with all metal and ready for you to drop your rifle in. Take advantage of the M14's capability to readily exchange stocks to have a stock for field use, a 'dress-up' stock, a couple of cameo stocks for different times of year, etc.
Performance! - Made to US GI specs, these rifle stocks are the best you can buy for the money - all original GI parts - many stocks with official government acceptance stamps. With a synthetic you are protected from moisture and have rigid strength and stability far greater than wood - conducive to accuracy (why else be a rifleman?) With a birch stock, you have strength and - especially in the 'heavy' birch - rigidity and stiffness needed for accurate shooting. Walnut gives you tradition, and a special look. But don't overlook the birch - at its showiest far more showy than walnut - or the camouflaged synthetic, where the sky is the limit! Because it is made to mil spec for interchangeability, these stocks will fit any mil-spec M14 semi-auto rifle made. |
